The Mauritius Institute of Directors is delighted to announce the appointment of five new Independent Non-Executive Directors, following its Annual Members Meetings held on 28 September 2022. During the Annual Members’ Meeting, Danny Balluck and Virginie Corneillet have been re-appointed as Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Directors respectively. The new board composition will bring critical knowledge, experience and perspectives that will enrich and help the Institute to advance in its mission in providing a professional forum for directors, while improving corporate governance practices for the business community in Mauritius.

The renewed Board of Directors is made up of a total of 12 elected members:

Mahomed (Mamed) Baboo – Independent Non-Executive Director

Caleyvary (Kevina) Takoordyal – Independent Non-Executive Director
Anuradha Appadoo – Independent Non-Executive Director
Sashi Kumar (Roshan) Koonja – Independent Non-Executive Director
Thiwantee (Pooja) Ramgutty – Independent Non-Executive Director
Dev Hurkoo – Independent Non-Executive Director
Jacqueline Sauzier – Independent Non-Executive Director

The Chairperson of the Board of Directors , Danny Balluck thanked Christine Sauzier, Dr. Linda Mamet, Guillaume Hugnin, Kevin Ramkaloan and late Gyaneshwarnath (Gary) Gowrea for their valuable contribution to the Institute during their respective mandate.
